With Spain and Portugal set to be the hidden gems of Europe`s fragmented business aviation landscape, the timing of the 2nd Annual Iberian Peninsula Business Aviation Conference (IPBAC), taking place in Madrid on 15th November, 2018, could not be better.

After testing the waters with the inaugural conference last year, the joint organisers, Quaynote Communications and InterFlight Global, are anticipating a surge in demand from delegates and sponsors alike, as registrations coming in even over the traditionally quiet summer period indicate a keen interest from this year`s participants.

“Last year`s conference laid important ground-work for this annual event”, explains Oscar Garcia, Conference Chair and CEO of InterFlight Global, “In 2019 we will further develop interest in business aviation across the entire region including Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Andorra. It really is the right time for companies and investors to take account of what is happening in the Iberian Peninsula, where business jet industries are growing at a phenomenal rate.”

This year, the big theme for IPBAC is “best practices” for fleet, hours, revenues and infrastructure. Conference topics include the role of technology, business jet financing, the maturing of the business aviation supply and trends from the United States.

An exciting addition to this year`s programme is a morning breakfast and aircraft expo that will take place on Day 2, 16th November, at the nearby Madrid, Barajas Private Aviation Terminal, FBO area. All delegates will be invited to this extra day of networking that will offer a great opportunity to see one of the region`s leading FBOs and a static display of aircraft.

IPBAC is actually part of a collaboration between the organisers that has now extended to Quaynote`s annual business jet conference in Malta. “We have also joined forces with IFG to produce MBAC, the Malta Business Aviation Conference”, explains Lorna Titley of Quaynote. MBAC was formerly Opportunities in Business Jets, that Quaynote ran for 6 years on the island. “By re-branding the conference as MBAC and linking it to IPBAC, we have the opportunity to develop key topics as an ongoing conversation at both conferences and see the discussions evolve throughout the year via social media and a dedicated discussion forum. For sponsors they may enjoy up to a year`s exposure that includes high visibility at two conferences and via on-line platforms that allow continuous engagement.”

The organisers are expecting senior level attendees from across Europe, north America and further afield to attend.
