Sinan Özer
Owner, EGE YAT / Aegean Yachts
Sinan Ozer was born in Edirne in 1953. After graduating from KadıkOy Maarif College (now Kadıkoy Anadolu Lisesi) in 1972, he studied Business Administration at Bogazici University.
In 1976, after completing his studies, he moved to Bodrum and founded Aegean Yacht. He began his career in the yachting and tourism industry as the Turkey representative of Kavos Yachting, a Greek-French partner company. During this time, he facilitated yacht charters, including those belonging to the Prince of Monaco, bringing international clients to the Turkish coast.
In the early 1980s, Sinan Ozer focused on chartering wooden gulets. Seeing the limited availability of suitable boats, he pioneered new concepts for the “Blue Cruise” experience. Instead of relying on existing vessels, he began building a new generation of motorsailers ( gulets) in Bodrum, introducing unprecedented standards of comfort, such as air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms.
By 1992, Aegean Yacht had become one of the largest yacht charter companies in the Mediterranean, with a fleet of 30 crewed yachts under single ownership. The company represented several major international travel agencies, including TUI AG, Thomson Holidays, GTT and Magic Life.
In 1993, Aegean Yacht launched its first steel-hulled schooner, the 34-meter Magic Life, which defined the company’s signature style. By 2000, Aegean Yacht fully transitioned its production to steel-hulled vessels.
Aegean Yacht’s reputation grew internationally, with all its yachts being sold to all around the world. Notable projects include the 45-meter three-masted schooner Grand Magic (2002), purchased by the Sheikh of Dubai, and its successors, the 50-meter Galileo and 57-meter Montigne, which set new standards in Bodrum’s boat-building history. The company seamlessly blended the classic elegance of 1930s schooners with modern technology and design.
By 2024, Aegean Yacht had built 53 custom vessels, including sailing yachts, motorsailers, and motoryachts, ranging between 20 and 66 meters. In recent years, the company delivered two Aegean Explorer 26-meter yachts and is currently building a 37-meter motoryacht, scheduled for delivery in January 2025. Ongoing projects also include an Aegean 34m Explorer and a 41-meter motoryacht.
Sinan Ozer owns a full-service boatyard spanning 40,000 sqm in Oren, Bodrum, employing 150 people. Additionally, he operates another yard in the Antalya Free Zone. Both facilities focus on building and maintaining high-quality, custom-built yachts.
Sinan Ozer’s contributions have shaped Bodrum’s and Turkey’s yachting and tourism landscape, setting new benchmarks for quality and innovation.

Jennifer’s first encounter with the superyacht industry was in 2005 whilst practicing ship finance at Constant & Constant, when the partner she worked for took on Perini Navi as a client. A number of yachting clients followed, and they went on to build a strong yachting practice for the firm. As her exposure to the yachting market grew, she joined Hill Dickinson’s yachting team, where she gained invaluable experience working with leading yachting lawyers.
A sharp career change came in 2015, when Jennifer joined the Greek yachting company Oceda, initially as the managing director and later as the communications director, to allow for more focus on her private clients. Fully submerged in the Greek yachting market, overseeing yacht formalities (port and customs), crewing, management and chartering matters, while continuing to advise on legal and fiscal yachting issues, gave her all-rounded experience on yacht operation from all perspectives.
After over 19 years in the global and local yachting market, and still acting for clients who have been with her since career start, Jennifer founded Sea Greece to provide the market with spot on, expert, and transparent consultation and advice, on cruising and operating in Greece as a commercial or private boat.
