Paul is the Commercial Director for MDR Cyber, within the Mishcon de Reya Litigation Team. He has 25 years commercial experience and domain knowledge from senior leadership roles held within Private and Public organisations. These have been within the Energy, Defence, Homeland Security, Unified Communications and Cyber Risk sectors. Specialising in cyber security, secure communications and large systems integration services.
He works closely with senior teams in large multinational organisations across a range of key industry sectors to develop agile, flexible commercial approaches for contracting managed cyber services, to help them assess, respond, and rapidly improve their security posture. He works with C-Suit cyber champions, such as GC, CISO, CFO, to help create viable business cases and planning for rapid implementation and improvement to their organisations cyber risk and overall security posture.
Paul has successfully designed, and implemented growth and client engagement strategies for EMEA, North America and APAC, that have included innovative global partner-alliance programs, contract and framework development, key client account and stakeholder management at Board and C-suit levels. He’s worked jointly with several leading insurance and broker organisations to help design and develop their market leading cyber products and services, in particular innovative commercial frameworks and supporting in-house process that enable global cyber incident response services.

Dan is CEO of CyberOwl, a disruptive startup helping asset operators gain visibility and address the cyber risks to their distributed, remote assets, particularly in the maritime sector. He was previously Associate Director at KPMG, where he focused on the Defence, Security and Industrial sectors, working extensively to develop propositions and commercial strategies for global security, defense, technology and engineering companies such as Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Atos and BP.
Dan was also Chair of a Working Group at the IoT Security Foundation, Council Member of the Digital Technology Group of the UK Society for Maritime Industries and Steering Committee Member for the Operational Technology Cyber Security Alliance. He is regularly recognised as a technology leader influencing the sector, including the FT 100 Most Influential BAME Leaders in Technology in 2019.

Dr Emma Philpott MBE: Emma is CEO of the IASME Consortium Ltd, an organisation that delivers accessible information assurance for smaller organisations and supply chains. IASME worked with the UK government to develop the Cyber Essentials scheme and is the sole NCSC Cyber Essentials Partner to deliver the scheme. IASME developed the highly regarded IASME Governance certification scheme, an affordable alternative to ISO 27001 for smaller organisations.
IASME has recently launched a security certification for Internet of Things devices and is working with partners to develop an accessible security certification for the maritime industry. IASME’s network of more than 260 Certification Bodies certify almost 2,000 companies per month.
Emma is also Founder and Manager of the UK Cyber Security Forum, a not-for-profit organisation leading an initiative to train unemployed neuro-diverse adults in cyber security and supporting them to find employment.
