Quentin Bargate qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and has since spent his entire career in top City of London law firms, including running his own highly regarded firm, Bargate Murray, where he is head of the firm’s Superyacht and Dispute Resolution Groups as well as being the firm’s CEO. Quentin says: “In 2004, I fulfilled a lifetime ambition when I set up my own law firm, Quentin Bargate & Co. (renamed Bargate Murray in 2006). We incorporated in 2013. I had been a partner in Simmons & Simmons and Head of its International Trade and Shipping Group and a member of the Litigation Department and Arbitration Groups where I developed specialist skills in superyacht contracts and disputes as well as commercial shipping and trade. Bargate Murray was a new challenge – to take all that knowledge I had gained over 14 years from a big City of London international practice, and offer it to clients who wanted a nimbler, more responsive service from a specialist firm.”
Bargate Murray is highly ranked in the Chambers HNW 2019 Guide for ‘Yachts & Superyachts’, and the Guide recognises Quentin as a Leading Individual for his expertise in this practice.
Quentin is an advocate for alternative dispute resolution (ADR), but he also deals with cases in court when required. He occasionally sits as an arbitrator.
Quentin is a member of the Baltic Exchange, the Maritime Authority of the Cayman Islands yacht committee. He holds a Master’s degree in Marine law, is a member of the LMAA, a Member of the Nautical Institute, a member of the IOD, a member of the Royal Thames Yacht Club, and a Freeman of the City of London.
His other interests include photography (Elsevier has published a technical book on stock photography “Microstock Photography” written by Quentin under his pen name Douglas Freer), music and his family.

Front Office Manager, Boatyard and Front Office Manager. He was appointed as Marina
Manager when Dogus Group bought the Port Gocek Marina in December 2010. He is Turkey
Operation Director since 2018 February.
Onur Ugan graduated from Fishery Faculties at Aegean University in İzmir. He has Diving
Licence, Class III Master Captain Licence, IRC Measurer Licence. Also he is currently
visepresident of Chamber of Shipping Fethiye Branch. He is local representative of Cruising
Association, Swedish Crusing Club and Kreuzer- Abteilung. He is vicecomodore of Göcek Yacht
Club, President of Gocek Culture and Tourism Assocation.

In July 2019, Clive pioneered an industry first carbon offset program, mandating a minimum 200% carbon offset for every Victor flight. As a private jet boss and environmentalist activist he has defined a new sustainability benchmark for private aviation which has enabled him to challenge private flyers- some of the world’s most influential opinion formers – to take responsibility for their carbon footprint. This means avoiding flying where possible, or matching Victor’s commitment to carbon reduction and offsetting their flight emissions by 400%.
Clive boldly lead the campaign with an open letter to the Financial Times, headlining with the uncomfortable truth that a private jet pollutes up to 20x more per passenger mile than an airliner. His mission is to set an example in business aviation campaigning for other brokers, aircraft operators and consumers to avoid, reduce and offset their carbon emissions on every flight. Clive is often referred to as the boss of a private jet company that’s become a committed aviation environmental campaigner.
In March 2020, Clive co-funded the management buyout of Fly Victor Ltd. In July 2020, he moved into the role of Chairman following the appointment of Toby Edwards and James Farley as the Company’s joint CEOs. Clive remains a committed environmental campaigner with the ambition to lead the business and commercial aviation industry to a lower carbon future and provides consulting services across commercial and business aviation.

After graduating from the University of Stuttgart and the Georgia Institute of Technology both with a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering Tobias Laps started his career at Jet Aviation in Basel in aircraft completions in 1999 as an engineer. Spending 5 years at Jet Aviation he was promoted to engineering project coordinator after only 6 months and Sales & Program Manager after 2 and half years selling various completion projects. After that he worked for 4 years at a subsidiary of Saab in Hamburg as a Branch Manager winning customers and growing the business significantly. He then was offered a job at ExecuJet in aircraft sales and later as a General Manager of the Berlin facility. Before joining Comlux, he was recruited as Head of Sales at RUAG in Munich in the area of business aircraft maintenance and refurbishment where he was able to secure large cabin modification and refurbishment projects.
Tobias also holds a Private Pilot License since 20 years and is passionate about aviation.
Tobias joined the Comlux team in November of 2015 as Vice President Sales for Western Europe, Asia and India. In 2018, Tobias is appointed Senior Vice President, Head of Sales for Large VIP Aircraft.
In 2019, Tobias is promoted Executive Vice President Commercial, Large VIP aircraft.

Dom is Associate Director in the Firm’s superyacht group based in London. Dom advises owners and their representatives on all aspects of superyacht ownership and management, including the negotiation of new build and refit contracts, interior design contracts, contracts for the purchase of toys, tenders and lifeboats, sale and purchase agreements and sale and charter agency agreements, as well as matters relating to the employment of crew members and operational staff.
Dom is often called upon to offer real-time support for Captains and yacht managers as matters requiring immediate attention arise onboard.
A life-long sailor himself, Dom has a practical understanding of the reality of life on the water and is able to apply his personal experience as both an owner and a charterer to offer clients practical, pragmatic, and realistic advice.
Dom has been involved in projects ranging from the complex modification and repurposing of older vessels, to the design and construction of some of the largest new-builds in the superyacht fleet.
Having started his career at Clyde & Co, Dom’s prior experience also covers the commercial shipping and commodities sectors, having represented international commodity trading houses, banks and corporates – experience which Dom is able to draw upon in his superyacht practice.
With an undergraduate degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology, Dom has a keen interest in the preservation of marine ecosystems and sustainable use of the World’s waters for recreational purposes. This passion also spills into day-to-day life at Bargate Murray where Dom has championed a number of “green” initiatives to help reduce the Firm’s impact on the environment.
When he is not in the office, Dom can often be found sailing on the south coast of England or enjoying the warmer climes of the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas.

Dawit Lemma is the Founder and CEO of Krimson Aviation – an aviation support services company based in Ethiopia and Switzerland since 2015.
