Dr Rao is a Clinical & Aerospace Physician and Chief Medical Officer with IndiGo Airlines which is one of the largest regional airlines of the world. He has spearheaded the covid response of the airline while ensuring business continuity. He has distinguished himself in managing organizational initiatives in complex matrix organizations.
Prior to IndiGo, Dr Rao retired as a Colonel in the Indian Army and has led independent medical units of the Indian Armed Forces. He has tremendous expertise in establishing varied de novo medical establishments across different services in the Armed forces. He also ensured excellent teamwork and drove high quality work ethos for delivery of Disaster Management and Emergency Care Services.
Dr. Rao is an Associate Fellow of the Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine and a member of the International Academy of Aerospace Medicine. As an Aerospace physician Dr Rao is one of the Chief architects of the covid response and aerospace solution provider within India.

Dr Claire Guest obtained a BSc in Psychology in 1986, followed by an MSc in Psychology by research.
Claire was Director of Operations and Research at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People until 2004.
Claire directed one of the first programmes in the world to train dogs to identify cancer by odour and published the first robust proof of principle study in the BMJ in September 2004. Claire became Co-Founder of Medical Detection Dogs (MDD) alongside Dr John Church in 2008 and is now the Chief Executive and Chief Scientific Officer. In the following years Medical Detection Dogs has focused on establishing a strong evidence base and to further train dogs to detect other life-threatening diseases such as malaria, Parkinson’s, pseudomonas and assistance dogs.
In 2011 Claire was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the development of new approaches for the detection of life-threatening diseases. In January 2015 she was awarded a British Citizen Award for health and in 2016 received the CBI National First Women award for Science and Technology. Claire is also a frequent peer reviewed author in scientific journals and has co-authored numerous publications on the detection of diseases by canines.
In 2016 she wrote “Daisy’s Gift”, published by Virgin books, about the formation of the charity and her remarkable dog ‘Daisy’, who indicated her own breast cancer. Claire regularly presents at conferences around the world, and frequently appears on national and international television and radio to discuss and promote the pioneering work and research of MDD.

Paulo M. Alves, MD, MSc, provides technical guidance and analysis for MedAire’s MedLink medical advisory service, as well as is a member of the MedAire Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Alves is also MedAire’s liaison with civil aviation regulators and industry associations on all matters interesting airline medicine.
A cardiologist and aerospace medicine specialist, Dr. Alves previously was the General Medical Manager for Varig Brazilian Airlines, where he worked for 23 years, 10 of which in that capacity. He was a member of the IATA Medical Advisory Group from 2002 to 2006.

Louise Cole is the Travel Pass Implementation Manager for the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Previously, Louise was the Manager Identity Solutions where she had the responsibility for the development of standards and recommended practices in robust, integrated identity management across the end-to-end passenger process (IATA One ID).
Prior to this, Louise was in leadership positions in the New Zealand Public Service for 20 years and as such was the New Zealand representative on the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) New Technology Working Group (NTWG) and lead for the NTWG Sub Group developing the technical specifications and international policy for the Digital Travel Credential.

Valerie has been flying worldwide for 25 years. She currently works in two roles, flying long haul on the Boeing 777 and in safety and risk assessment for Flight Operations. She has 15,000 hours and an MSc in Aviation Human Factors and uses these skills in safety management and incident investigation. Her areas of speciality are fatigue and wellbeing. She’s currently working on ways to implement the latest science behind safety management and resilience engineering to better understand and increase safety in Aviation.
Valerie is also a Liveryman and Director of Technical and Safety for the Honourable Company of Air pilots (Hong Kong region). In previous airlines, she was part of the crisis management team and taught security to air crew and is now part of the airline Accident Investigation Team and post event crisis management. She is currently involved with working groups for mental health for ICAO and Learning From All Operations with the Flight Safety Foundation, along with Fatigue Risk Management, Flight Data and various other flight safety committees.
Valerie started flying when she went on a week’s gliding course and didn’t come home for two years. She talked her way into a job on the gliding field, driving the winch for the summer courses and worked her way up from the grass roots of aviation, towing gliders and instructing along the way. She believes persistence and not being afraid to get your hands dirty were key to her success.

Elizabeth (Liz) Wilkinson is an accredited Specialist in Occupational Medicine and General Practice in the UK and has been involved in Aviation Medicine for almost 25 years.
She enjoyed the world of full-time aviation medicine with British Airways for 22 years, becoming Head of Health Services in 2010. She made the difficult decision to retire from her role there as Chief Medical Officer in 2019.
She is a Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association (AsMA), member of the International Academy of Aerospace Medicine, former member of IATA MAG, and immediate past-Chair of the AsMA’s Air Transport Medicine Committee.
Liz is now co-Editor of Ernsting’s Textbook of Aviation and Space Medicine, President of The Association of Aviation Medical Examiners (UK), and President of the International Airline Medical Association (IAMA, formerly AMDA).
